If you are indeed interested in getting into sailing, you will have likely already gotten an introduction to the basics of sailing, such as: the parts of a sailboat, the parts of a sail, the parts of a hull and the parts of a rig; sail trim, sail handling, sailing directions and basic navigation, weather phenomena and wind and wave direction, and safety procedures.

If you have sailing experience at all, it will be helpful if you bring your own boat and equipment. If you don’t have your own, we will make arrangements for you to borrow equipment and join an upcoming sailing trip.
The course material will typically also discuss how to enter the marina, tie up your boat and what to do if anything goes wrong while on the water. This is a great way to learn new skills and meet new people.
