THE FALL TOURS returns to Charleston, South Carolina this October. For the 37th year, the Preservation Society of Charleston hosts a variety of tours that take you inside some of Charleston's most historic privately-owned homes and gardens. Our new format this year includes themed tours that range from architectural overview tours to Charleston history tours and even day-long bus tours to explore the historic churches and planations of Edisto Island and the Cooper River. As always, your tour experience will allow for access into several homes or gardens each day where trained docents will explain the history of these structures and spaces. For those who wish to learn more about tour topics, we are offering lunch lectures on Wednesdays and Saturdays to supplement our Wednesday Garden Tours and our Saturday Charleston History Tours for an additional fee. Explore the many options to learn more about the architecture and history of one of America's most historic port cities.
